Who we are

This policy is published by AM Computers LLC ("AM Computers", "we", "us"), a web development, automation and tech support company based at 2138 Alabaster Estate Dr, Richmond, TX 77469, United States. It covers:

• our website at www.amcomputerstx.com and its contact forms;
• the services we provide to clients: websites, online stores, automation and monthly support plans;
• payments made to us through Stripe;
• our WordPress plugin, AM Computers Migration Guru, including its optional Google Drive connection.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, business name, the service you are interested in, your answers to the questions on our forms and your message.
• Calls, texts and emails: what you tell us when you contact us directly.
• Client projects: the content, files, logins and business details you share so we can do the work.
• Billing: your billing name, email and address. Card details go straight to Stripe (see Payments and Stripe).

Information collected automatically

• Server logs: like every website, our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. We use it to keep the site running and secure.
• Analytics: pages viewed, how you arrived, rough location (city level), device type, and clicks on our phone, email and WhatsApp links, collected through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. See Cookies.
• Cookies: see Cookies.

Information from others

• Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded and gives us limited details such as the card brand, last four digits and billing country.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal.
• To deliver, support and improve the services you buy from us.
• To send invoices, take payments, process refunds and keep business records.
• To send service messages, such as project updates, renewal reminders and security notices.
• To protect our website, clients and business from fraud and abuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to train AI models. We only send marketing emails if you ask for them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Payments and Stripe

Payments to us are processed by Stripe. When you pay by card, your card details are entered on a form served by Stripe and sent directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. They never pass through or are stored on our servers. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1, the highest level of payment card security.

Stripe collects and uses payment and device information to process your payment, prevent fraud and meet its legal obligations, as described in the Stripe Privacy Policy. We keep a record of each transaction (amount, date, what it was for, card brand and last four digits) for our accounts.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with:

• Service providers that help us run the business, such as Stripe (payments), Google (website analytics), our website and email hosts, and the form service that delivers website enquiries. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
• Third-party tools you ask us to use on your project, such as your hosting company, CRM or booking system.
• Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, safety or property.
• A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or merged, under the same privacy commitments.

Client systems and data

When you hire us, we may need access to your website, hosting, email or other systems, and to the data of your own customers inside them. We access them only to do the work you asked for, keep what we see confidential, and do not use it for any other purpose. When a project or support plan ends, we delete working copies we hold and give back or remove our access. You are responsible for your own customers' privacy notices, and we will help you meet your obligations where our work touches them.

Our plugin and Google user data

AM Computers Migration Guru is a WordPress plugin for backups, restores and site migration. It runs on your own WordPress site. Backups, logs and settings stay on your server and in storage you connect, such as your Google Drive. We do not receive copies of your backups, your site content or your visitors' data.

Google Drive connection

If you choose Connect Google Drive:

• The plugin asks Google for one permission: drive.file, which lets it see and manage only the files it creates (its own backups folder). It cannot read any other file in your Drive.
• The sign-in goes through our connection service at connect.amcomputerstx.com, which holds our Google app's credentials. That service passes your Google access tokens to your site in encrypted form, readable only by your site. It does not store, log or share them. When your site renews its access (about once an hour during uploads), the renewal passes through the same service, again without being stored.
• Your Google login is stored on your site encrypted with your site's own secret keys, and is never included in backups.
• The plugin uses Google Drive only to upload, list, download and delete the backups it created, as you instruct it.

Sharing, storage and deletion of Google user data

We do not share Google user data with anyone. It is stored only on your own site, never on our servers. To delete it, disconnect Google Drive from the plugin's Google Drive screen, which removes the stored login from your site, or uninstall the plugin. You can also remove access at any time from your Google Account under Security → Third-party connections. Backups the plugin created stay in your Drive until you delete them.

Plugin emails and connection logs

When a backup or restore needs your attention, the plugin sends an email from your own site to the address you set. We do not see these emails. The connection service keeps short-lived rate-limit counters (a hashed form of the connecting IP address, deleted within two hours) to block abuse. It keeps no other records.

Cookies

Our website uses Google Tag Manager to load analytics tools such as Google Analytics. These set cookies that tell us how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are viewed and whether someone called or sent an enquiry. Google processes this information for us under the Google Privacy Policy. We use it only to improve the site, not for advertising. You choose whether analytics cookies are used in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set after they accept. Elsewhere, they are set unless you decline. When cookies are declined, Google may still receive basic signals without cookies, such as that a page was viewed. You can also block these cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

The site may also use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to make pages work. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment pages to process payments and prevent fraud.

How long we keep it

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we must keep it by law.

Security

Our website is served over HTTPS. We use strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication on our accounts, limit access to client systems to the people doing the work, and never store card numbers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you without undue delay and as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your information;
• stop sending you marketing, if you ever signed up for it.

Depending on where you live, for example Texas, California, the UK or the EU, the law may give you further rights, such as the right to appeal our decision or to complain to a data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

To make a request, email info@amcomputerstx.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we reply within 45 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will review it and answer within the time the law allows.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International visitors

We are based in the United States and store information with providers in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, with the protections described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. When we do, we change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell affected clients by email before it takes effect.
